		<description>I agree that students really do need to have the opportunity to assess their peers as well as themselves.  Especially in the higher grades.  My experience with elementary students has been that they have a more difficult time evaluating themselves and they are harder on themselves than their peers are.  This is a great opportunity for students to have positive feedback from peers.  I wish i would have done more of this in my regular classroom.  It seems that most of the &quot;normal, routine&quot; assessments don&#039;t allow for this kind of feedback.  I think students get more out of the peer evaluations than any test can ever show!
